Planned publications (preliminary)

The 15th Vaasa Conference on International Business is delighted to announce co-operation with International Journal of Emerging Markets (IJoEM). The IJoEM publishes high quality research focusing on issues related to business in emerging markets from multidisciplinary (economics, finance, marketing, and management) and multinational geographic perspectives.

As a part of the co-operation IJoEM will announce a best paper award for the best papers focusing on Emerging Markets (EM) presented at the 14th Vaasa Conference on International Business. The best paper winner will receive:

  • A best paper certificate sponsored by IJoEM
  • A fast track review for IJoEM issue
  • 1 year free access to IJoEM
  • 200 dollars for best paper invited and submitted to the IJoEM.

The organizers of the 15th Vaasa Conference on International Business are also negotiating with Springer on a possible volume consisting of selected papers presented at the Conference. More detailed information on this will be announced later, closer to the Conference. Authors interested in this publication should notice that first-publication policy (i.e. not under consideration or submitted elsewhere) will be followed.

The Nordic Journal of Business (NJB) invites manuscripts for a special issue on International Business around the theme "Creative and Successful Internationalization Strategies". This special issue is devoted to papers presented at the 154th Vaasa Conference on International Business. The special issue will be guest edited by Professor Adam Smale (Department of Management, University of Vaasa). Manuscripts accepted to the Conference can be submitted to the special issue according to the NJB submission guidelines (see here). All submitted papers will be refereed according to the usual practices of the journal and the first review will be completed within 90 days of the submission deadline which is September 15, 2019.
