Artistic Methods in Leadership Education

Posted on 27/02/15.

This project examined the increasing use of art and artistic methods in leadership education. The data were collected by observations and interviews in one specific workshop employing artistic methods in a UK university. The research revealed how artistic methods as experiential ways of learning can be a powerful means to learn about one’s leadership abilities. The research also showed how the notion of leadership constructed in the workshops is paradoxical and places contradictory demands on the practicing managers.
