Sirinnapa (Mui) Saranwong is an internationally renowned expert in Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR). She is currently working as Near Infrared Spectroscopy Business Development Manager for the multinational Bruker Optics.

Mui Saranwong is a Doctor of Philosophy. She obtained her doctorate in biology from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She worked for several years at Japan's National Food Research Institute NFRI as a researcher and studied the use of NIR in food.   One of her positions is Honorary Secretary for the International Council for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (ICNIRS).  Muin has authored several peer-reviewed publications on Near Infrared Spectroscopy. She became Asian Editor for NIRNews in 2006. Mui is also in the advisory board for Journal of Near Infrared Spectroscopy.

Mui has tight connections with the University of Vaasa. She has participated in organising an industry conference in Vaasa and Umeå and has written a research review on NIR technology together with researchers from the University of Vaasa. NIR technology has been applied at the University of Vaasa on, for example, the analysis of biofuels.
