University of Vaasa and Vaasa University of Applied Sciences promote the entrenchment of resource-wise practices across the industry in the Ostrobothnia region

Master's Degree Programme in Finance gets a new double degree deal with St. Petersburg

University of Vaasa’s Master’s Degree Programme in Finance has made a new double degree agreement with the Higher School of Economics St. Petersburg. The University of Vaasa has also obtained mobility funding to financially support students and faculty members within this programme.



Dissertation: Real estate control policies in China can partially constrain real estate risks to banks

According to Junhua Jiang's doctoral study, real estate control policies in China that aim at stabilizing or slowing house price growth can reduce two types of real estate risks to banks: discount rate risks and overall risks of the real estate firms to banks. Real estate control policies, however, cannot constrain another type of real estate risks to banks: risks of the real estate market to banks.

Minna Martikainen appointed as Vice Rector of the University of Vaasa

The Board of the University of Vaasa has appointed Professor Minna Martikainen as the Vice Rector responsible for research at the University of Vaasa. She will take up her duties from 1 August 2020.
