Planning the Studies

Planning your studies well from the very beginning will help you to complete the degree in time and to prepare you for the requirements of the working life. The choices you make during your studies can make a difference after your graduation.

You can start to plan your own study path by familiarising yourself with the degree structure and requirements. You will find information about the programme structure under the programme websites.

You are asked to prepare a Personal Study Plan (PSP) in the beginning of your studies. The personal study plan will help you to develop your time management skills and also to maintain your motivation towards the studies by setting realistic goals which you can reach step by step.

Studying at a university in Finland requires quite a lot of independent work. It is good to be aware of your own studying and learning techniques and try to improve them during the studies. The programme staff and study psychologist can help you to recognise and develop your learning techniques, if needed.
