Accessible study

The aim of accessible study is the equality of students and the availability of services (instruction, supervision etc.) from the beginning to the end of their studies.

Student can see more information on accessibility to find our more on the equal opportunity to operate with others. In most University premises opportunities for mobility are good.

Organisation and supervision of studies introduces the support services that are available for students in need of special arrangements when they plan their studies.

During studies various individual arrangements for examinations are available.

In addition there are links to the net pages on accessibility and to the maps of the University area. Contact persons are able to give more individual guidance to students.

The application for special study arrangements is addressed to the Study Psychologist Ray Ohtonen. Exchange students contact the International Education Specialist.

In addition to the contact persons responsible for accessible study in study fields, the Admissions Services and Mobility Services, the Library, the Open University and the Student Union have their individual contact persons for accessible study. The Specialist in Education Services coordinates accessible education, its development and the stakeholder cooperation.

The University of Vaasa has an Accessibility Plan that has been approved on the basis of the results in the accessibility study carried out in 2008.
