Summer schools

University of Vaasa gives possibility to benefit from the summer semester by supporting exchange studies in the summer schools organized by its partner universities. Summer schools are very suitable for students who cannot participate in semester exchanges, and are primarily recommended for such students.

Summer schools usually take place during June - August, and usually last between two weeks - and two months. The summer schools vary a lot, which means you should carefully read and compare the content of different summer schools

Our partner universities have different criteria for the students applying to the summer courses, and thus the summer schools have been put into three different categories.

Category 1

Summer schools that are in the first category require nomination by the University of Vaasa. There are no tuition fee for the nominated students, and there might be limitations on the number of places available, which are filled in the order of applications.

Category 2

Summer schools in the second category include partial tuition fee for our students. Either you have to be nominated by the University to the summer school, or you have to prove that you are full time student at University of Vaasa.

Category 3

Summer schools in the third category may include full tuition fee for all students.

Other summer schools

You can search for partner university summer schools on their websites as not all organise summer schools/ inform us of summer schools, which might belong to any of the above mentioned categories. Active University of Vaasa student mobility partner universities can be found here
