Double Degree

Degree students whose major is international business, strategic business development or finance have the chance to get an international double degree. The Faculty of Business Studies has six double degree agreements on the master’s level at the moment. Double degree exchange  means that the first year studies (min. 60 ECTS) are taken at the University of Vaasa and the second year studies (min. 60 ECTS) including the Master thesis are taken at the host university.

The application period for double degree exchange is primarily during Erasmus-application period. If you are interested in applying for this double degree in international business please state this in the application form for exchange studies in the field: ‘additional information’ or by writing it in the empty space under the ‘Current studies’ –box. Business: Master's Degree Programme in International Business

Europa Universität Viadrina (Frankfurt/Oder, Germany)

EUV is located near Berlin and has about 6000 students of which 23 % are international students. EUV is a rapidly growing dynamic University which was established in 1991, but its roots lead to 16th century as the first University of Bradenburg. EUV has nationally been ranked the sixth best in Germany and the School is planning to enter EFMD accreditation process in the near future.

The MIB double degree partner in EUV is the International Business Administration –programme which is divided in 6 modules. The students choose two modules from the economics track, and the rest of the studies are planned from other tracks according to the study plan before starting the double degree programme. Kedge Business School, campus Marseille (France)

Kedge Busienss School, campus Marseille is an international business school, one of the top ranked business schools in France (EQUIS & AMBA accredited) with about 1500 students. It offers comprehensive management training at undergraduate & graduate level. The school is situated on the beautiful Mediterranean coast of France.

The double degree partner at Kedge is the “Programme Grande Ecole” (Master of Science in Management). The programme requires the following studies from the double degree seeking students:

Università degli studi di Pavia (Italy)

Universitá degli Studi di Pavia was established in 1361, thus being one of the oldest universities in Europe. Pavia is located about 40 km south from Milan. There are about 21 000 students in the nine different Faculties in the University. The Business Faculty of the University of Pavia has been ranked as the second in Italy and has progressed among the first of Italian business schools especially in the field of internationalization.
The double degree partner at the University of Pavia is the “Laurea Magistralis” (Master’s Programme in International Business and Economics). The programme requires the following studies from the double degree seeking students:

University of Economics, Prague (Prague Czech Republic)

The University of Economics, Prague (VŠE) is the biggest public university of economics in the Czech Republic. Studies at VŠE meet the requirements of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Currently, there are more than 16,000 students at VŠE.

VŠE is ranked by the Financial Times annually and has already been appraised the Eduniversal Ranking project as one of the best “business schools” in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2013 VŠE has been also ranked in QS World University Rankings .

VŠE provides its students with a high quality study environment and conditions. Students may use hundreds of computer stations on campus, a wireless network, or the modern Integrated Study Information System (ISIS). For students who do not come from Prague, there are almost 4,500 beds available at the university’s dormitory facilities. The university has its own sports facilities.
