Master's Degree Programme in Finance and the Master's Degree Programme in International Business

The Master’s Degree Programme in Finance and the Master's Degree Proramme in International Business at the University of Vaasa, Finland have been awarded the international EPAS-accreditation. The Master's Degree Programme in Finance received its initial accreditation for three years in May 2013 whereas the Master's Degree Programme in International Business was re-accredited and received a five-year accreditation. The EPAS –accreditation is an internationally much appreciated quality label given for education in the field of business studies. Both of the accredited programmes educate specialists for managerial tasks that require solid international competence. The programmes are a two-year programmes and targeted at both domestic and international master’s degree students.

The EPAS evaluation process considers programme delivery and design, programme outcomes, and quality assurance. The quality of education, international aspects and corporate interaction are also emphasized in the evaluation process.

Currently, about 50 university level programmes have been awarded the EPAS accreditation. EPAS is an international programme accreditation system operated by European Foundation for Management Development EFMD. EFMD is recognized globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education with established accreditation services for business schools and business school programmes, corporate universities and technology-enhanced learning programmes.



Excellent Business School

The Faculty of Business Studies is ranked as Excellent Business School in the Eduniversal Worldwide Business School Ranking.

The ranking is performed annually, in three stages: first, schools are ranked by their international recognition, accreditations held, membership in international associations and organisations, and place in international, regional or national ratings. The second stage involves voting by deans of 1000 business schools and universities from 153 countries of the world. On the third, final, stage, the International Scientific Committee made up of nine independent experts representing different regions of the world says its word.

The main purpose of the EDUNIVERSAL ranking of universities is to make an objective comparison of education institutions providing management and business administration studies in different countries.
